In the Beginning……..The End

We live in the days and times where we are conscious of the beautiful things we want to show the world. This has grown into an illusion of what life is all about in the mind of many, leading young and old minds through a path that could slow them down or be a barrier to their actual progress. As an entrepreneur, I was told that nobody cares about your struggle or the process to your success. All everyone needs to see is your Success. I was told nobody cares about your struggle to get to the next point, all people want to see is you at the top.

The illusion of success, The illusion of progress, The illusion of next level, The illusion of arrival has done more harm than good. Why shouldn’t people care about the process? Why shouldn’t people care about the mistakes on our journey? Why shouldn’t people care about the times when we almost gave up? Why why why? Recently, I was told by a very respectable friend that nobody cares about how I come up with ideas, nobody cares about how I build whatever it is that I am building. So I kept wondering and I thought about it. I tried to study to get answers and then it dawned on me that he only came from a place of where he is in life and how he relates with what I do, for a person like him, all he needs to see is the finished product. He has no business with wanting to know how the process of the product comes about and so he was speaking on his level of relationship with my product. There are people who would relate with the production process of my products. There are people who would relate with the growth struggles of my brand. There are people who would relate with the ups and downs of living as an entrepreneur. But in general, the social media space and world and the people around us has made it a thing that the end product is all that should be celebrated. To them the end product is the real deal. https://www.instagram.com/mayriejacobs_bespoke?igsh=MjFiNzIxaHhhMHhu&utm_source=qr

Yes, the end product should be celebrated after a long struggle of trying to put it together to its best form, but what makes the product the best that it is, is every process that it went through. Gold can never be gold without the process of burning. yes, there are people Who are only interested in the fineness of the finished work of gold and that is OK but there are also people who need to know and understand the process gold goes through before it becomes the gold that it is. There are also people that need to understand where gold was dug from before it was taken through fire and then becoming Fine gold. So don’t let anyone make you feel less of yourself or make you feel like you are doing something wrong for talking about your process as long as it’s a story that shows where you are coming from where you are and where you are going to. Your growth process might be meaningless to one person, but your success would mean everything to that same person and it’s OK. There are also people who would relate to your processes, your flaws, your challenges and every crazy day that comes with growth and success. In every story there are intentional reader who wants every detail to connect and there are people like me who go straight to read the end before reading the beginning 😂 and that’s okay. Let your audience pick what part of the story resonates with them but what is not OK is people expecting you to act like your process doesn’t exist. The process is your product, own it and never be ashamed to tell your story.

Means and end…which should we carry? Without means, ends wil never happen - society is where it is today because we are obsessed with ends and so people go all ends to hit the ends that resonates, afterall, failure is an orphan
